Media measurement and intelligence

Media measurement in Canada
Audience measurement is the currency relied on by all media to describe the size and nature of their audience and to profile their readers/listeners/viewers to media planners and buyers in agencies and advertisers across the country.
In Canada, audience measurement for major media is supported by an industry association within each medium that oversee the studies on behalf of its members. This is an area in which TNS Canada excels. We have conducted two of the industry's preeminent studies for more than 25 years:
- PMB (Print Measurement Bureau) is considered to be the bible of the magazine industry and measures readership of more than 100 magazine titles each year.
- NADbank (Newspaper Audience Databank) performs the same function for the daily newspaper industry and measures print and online readership of more than 80 daily newspapers in over 50 Canadian urban markets.
PMB and NADbank are large, technically complex surveys and their methodologies are considered to be of the highest quality among their peers around the world.
